Hossein Sheikholeslam, a foreign affairs adviser to Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani, said Iran still believes Israel should be annihilated. Photo: Screenshot. – A senior Iranian official on Tuesday called for Israel’s annihilation and rejected the claim by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond that Iran’s government has shown more nuance towards the Jewish state.

“Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan,” Hussein Sheikholeslam, a foreign affairs adviser to Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani, told reporters on Tuesday, the Fars News Agency reported.

On Monday, Hammond, who was in Tehran to re-open the British embassy there, suggested that the current Iranian government under President Hassan Rouhani has shown a more nuanced approach towards Israel than the leadership of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“What we’re looking for is behavior from Iran, not only towards Israel but towards other players in the region, that slowly rebuilds their sense that Iran is not a threat to them,” Hammond said.

So perfidious Albion’s Hammond is looking for a change of Iran’s behaviour. I hope that he holds his breath until that occurs.

But what about Israel’s best friend Master POTUS? Any condemnation? Any stopping the deal until Iran stops its aggression and threats?

Islam is INCOMPATIBLE with ALL other religions (cults) and forms of government. When will Obama and the rest of his clueless supporters learn this?

    • HP Benson

Obama is no mystery. He is a Moslem Marxist. Very dangerous and destructive domestically and in foreign affairs. He listens to his four lady advisors, at least one of whom is Iranian.

  • Franklin Delano Paskutnik

Well, really! What did Mr.Hammond think? He knew very well that Iran has not changed it’s stance vis-a-vis Israel one iota.Britain is probably aiming for some juicy trade deals with the evil Islamic regime – and to hell with Israel and those pesky Jews. Thanks to Obama Iran has scored handsomely with this so-called nuclear “agreement” – no wonder Iranians are dancing for joy in the streets of Tehran.

The Iranian demands for the anniliation of Israel are agaist the UN Rules and as a first step maybe it is Iran which should have their membership of the UN suspended.Iran acts agains human rights agreements of the UN and is guilty of
terrible crimes against some of its own citizens. The presnt government did not win the last election but came to power by manipulations of the ballots .There has never been in the history of the UN a country constantly calling for the anniliation of another member.Sadly over the years there have been governments in Iran which eg sided with Hitler and were planning to anniliate its Jews but were thorted by Churchill who invaded Iran expelled the Shah to South Africa and disolced its fassist government.History has shown that regimes like at present rule in Iran eventually fall. The present leaders are only interested in one aim-the survival of the regime forever!
Fortunately history hs shown that violent intollerant regimes like the pressent eventually fall.

How naive can a person be or is it simply ignoring the fact that Iranian view on Israel has been, is now and will continue to be the call for destruction. The Europeans who are currently courting Iranian business choose to ignore. Shame on them all.

  • marlene

And there’s no change in our stance on iran, which WILL be annihilated.

  • Iran is just putting itself behind the 8 ball. It is the kind of hateful irresponsibility from Iran and other foolish Islamic forces, that have richly deserved the scorn and loathing from nativists in the US and elsewhere. The Mullahs may end up having to deal with a Generalissimo by the name of Trump – and I don’t think he would give them an inch. They will understand that their belligerence has a fatal price.

A word to the crack pots in Iran who continue to tell the world that Israel should be annihilated. We have been on this earth for almost 5000 years. You have been here for 1700 years. For those countries who have tried to annihilate us in the long ago past, and the ones who tried to annihilate us in the not to distance past, and to you in Iran who want to annihilate us in the present. I will tell you this. We were there then in the distance past, we were there 70 years ago, and we are here today. We will be here when you disappear in your war with the Sunni and you annihilate yourselves. We will be here for the world of the future because as it was in the past the world did not annihilate itself because we were there.

  • Isaac Brajtman

How on earth can all the worlds major powers make peace and business agreements with Iran when it keeps repeating that its aim is to annihilate Israel ?

  • Jenny Bee

If G-d forbid these crazies ever try to drop a bomb on Israel every single Jewish person who supports this deal will have his or her name on it.

  • Reform School

Like his Washington buddy John Kerry, UK Chief Diplomat Philip Hammond spends too much time alone with his organ.

  • Michael Mayben

If U.S. Intelligence discovers any preparations from Iran of any attempt to invade or launch missiles into Israel America’s Military will be committed to defending America’s ally Israel with strategic strikes on Iran’s military missile sites and the Air Force bases without hesitation! Iran must understand American’s military might will reign down on them without hesitation!

  • Mickey Oberman

The only way to eliminate the insatiable Islamic hatred of Israel
    is to eliminate Iran.
Reduce it to the irrelevancy which it so richly deserves.

  • Julian Clovelley

With the apparent Zionist determination to tear up the Iran Nuclear agreement and to institute a Republican Government so far to the Right it attacks Iran using the forces of the US Military – you expect Iran’s leaders to respond by saying “I love You”?

    • zadimel

Not one American soldier has died in defense of the Jewish State since its independence in 1948. How many American soldiers died in WW 2 in defense of Britain,France, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands,Australia,New Zealand and other countries? How many Americans died in defense of South Korea and even South Vietnam? Israel has the capability to take on Iran, alone if need be, and to destroy that country. The Jewish State would rather have peace with Iran than war,but the hatred towards Israel by the government and leadership of Iran has a religious basis found in the Koran and in its interpretation by some Islamic scholars, and not on any executive agreement between the US and Iran. Indeed, the distrust and hatred toward any non-Muslim by those who believe in the Koran and other associated writings go back to the beginning of Islam.

Iran is a bigger threat than ever and if given the go ahead on this Obama deal, will threaten the entire planet. the deal gives them unlimited access to arms, billions to spend to arm their proxies, to set up nuclear facilities that are hidden, to have agents and provocateurs all over the globe, to finance the most hideous crimes and then in 10 years they will be able to demonstrate their weaponry that will be nuclear, and of course, the only inspections are to be done by Iran itself. the deal does not give access to foreign inspectors, and will not admit to the number of current underground facilities. the only thing US gets from the Deal is a prize for Obama for pulling off the greatest stunt ever.

Genocidal Iran will be turned into glass if it attacks Israel.

    • Daniel McClenaghan

      Re your statement:

“Genocidal Iran will be turned into glass if it attacks Israel”

I am quite sure that the powers that be in Iran know this perfectly well.

It is the “Lets go to war with Iran zealots” who are delusional. Happily the Israelis and the Americans both are governed by rational military advisors.
