Iran has discovered an unexpectedly high reserve of uranium and will soon begin extracting the radioactive element at a new mine, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said on Saturday.

The comments cast doubt on previous assessments from some Western analysts who said the country had a low supply and sooner or later would need to import uranium, the raw material needed for its nuclear program.

    Iran has certainly not discovered uranium ores. The country is well prospected. I believe, that Iran has uranium concentrates concealed and they are planning to present it as material from new discoveries.

    how convenient! now iran can bring out the uranium that it has bought from africa, in violation of united nations security council sanctions, and add it to their stockpile, all nicely protected by obama and kerry’s “agreement”. the ink isn’t even dry yet, and the fun is already starting!
