In his address to the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday, which followed a dramatic speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of Malaysia invoked Judaism to attack the Jewish state.

Before turning his attention to Israel, however, Prime Minister Najib Razak urged the nations of the world tospread awareness of authentic Islam. Most especially when conflicts persist and people lose hope. For it is there that extremism finds fertile soil. And those who fight for extremism — for a perversion of true Islam — are one of the main drivers of the current migration crisis from the Middle East.”

Razak devoted a good portion of his time at the podium to deploring the rise and methods of ISIS.

“Non-state actors, such as the so-called Islamic State, threaten to destroy sovereign states,” he said. “They don’t confine their horrific acts of cruelty within official boundaries. Expert at using social media to recruit followers in faraway countries, they lure them with false promises, persuading many young people that their barbaric actions will bring them closer to God. It is sickening, and there could be no greater a slur on Islam — a religion of peace, moderation and justice.”

He then proceeded to talk about the plight of the Palestinians.

Forward-thinking leaders put their people’s interests first. Similar courage… is needed to permanently address the injustice suffered by the Palestinians since 1948.

Decades of impunity and the systematic dehumanization of Palestinians has culminated in increasing violence, increasing illegal settlements and increasing violations of rights. The frustration and anger felt by Palestinians resonates with Muslims worldwide.

If the world continues to turn a blind eye to their sufferings, we risk another catastrophe in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. We will also fail to uphold the right to self-determination, which was at the very basis of the United Nations when it was created 70 years ago.

He continued:

On that note, given the Rosh Hashanah violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and aggression against its worshipers three weeks ago, I call on the Israeli government to live up to Judaism’s highest ethical principles, and the essential message of the Torah as succinctly expressed by the first century BC sage Hillel. When asked to describe the Torah in a soundbite, he said, ‘That which is hateful to you, don’t do to your fellow human being.’

This dictum, known universally in all religions as the Golden Rule, could herald the dawn of a much needed revised relationship between Muslims and Jews.

Nice that he is so interested in reminding Israel of the Jewish people’s moral foundation, which is the foundation of the Judeo-Christian world. Perhaps he should worry more about the moral fiber of the Palestinian people, who apparently have nothing to guide their morality and are dancing in the street celebrating the murder of two Jewish parents in front of their children.

It is you, Prime Minister Najib Razak that need the moral lessons. Practice what you preach.

Read Jihad Watch and Middle East Quarterly and see what Malaysia has become under Islamic rule. A place where non-Muslims are persecuted and murdered on a regular basis. I forget what religion this region used to be but the peace loving people who controlled Malaysia years ago welcomed Muslims into their country who ended up taking it over becoming, I believe, the largest Muslim country in the world.

Malaysia is a lessen to be learned when it comes to what happens when you let an ideology like Islam infest and infect your country. Islam is a disease and Muslims are the symptom.

Gaza is a place with no Israeli settlements, from which Israel has totally withdrawn to the 1967 lines, and which nonetheless has become a Hamas terror state. That’s what happens in conditions of Gazafication. So when people say that in a two-state solution, Palestinians would have a “right of return” to the West Bank and not Israel, I do not find that particularly reassuring either. Any influx of Palestinians across the Jordan poses a problem for Israel, and it is naive to dismiss it. I would like to hear how, in a two-state scenario, Gazafication of the West Bank can be prevented. I haven’t heard it yet.

    Neither have I.

Read The Haj by Leon Uris. And ask these questions:

What year did the nation of Palestine come into existance?
What were its national borders and what year did it cease to exist?
What currency did the nation of Palestine use and why is there no history of it?
Name one leader to the “nation of Palestine” prior to Yasser Arafat.

READ The Case for Israel by Alan Dershowitz!!!! You’ll kick yourself, like I did, for not reading this book a long time ago.

For the world, writ large to get back on firm ground, Islam must, once and forever, be located within it’s appropriate Genre, Cultism!!!

The Palestinians and their fellow Muslims would do well to follow this rule.

There has been no aggression against worshipers at the A-Aqsa Mosque.

The Mosque has been used as a fortress in which ammunition is being brought in, stored and then used against peaceful visitors to the Temple Mount and the police who, by necessity, are there to protect them.

The State of Israel took the Temple Mount when the Jordanians abandoned the site after attacking Israel in 1967. The Israelis in an offer of peace gave Jordan control of the Mosque. The Mount was to be free for all peoples to visit.

No Muslim country can seriously lecture Israel on Morality.
It’s too well known that they all dearly wish for the
Jewish state either disappear or be militarily destroyed.
When has Malaysia or any of them protested against the
constant abuse leveled a nation which geographically is
but a speck on the globe. The very clever PM can go to

    Where are all the comments?

I applaud Razak’s call for all people to follow the Golden Rule. If the Palestinian Arab leadership followed the Golden Rule, it would stop lying, aggression, stealing and displaying baseless hate. Alternatively, Jews should apply the Golden Rule and respond to Arab violence by stoning them and stopping them praying on the Temple Mount, after all, doing to the Arabs what they do nor find hateful to do to Jews, surely could not offend them.

  • Markus Elkana Brajtnman

Why does he not refer to the murder of innocent Israelis, and how they celebrate acts of murder
Why did he not refer to Abas’s lies that Israel does not want to sit and talk peace with the PA?
Why did he not refer to the offers made by previous Israeli PM’s where they offered Arafat 95% of Judea and Samaria (Westbank), with east Jerusalem as their capital?
What was the result of those offers?
The intifada, which cost many lives on both sides.
Why does he not refer to Hamas firing hundreds of rockets into which led to the 50 day war? And the tunnels which was to be used late at night, while Israelis were asleep, and send in hundreds of Islamic terrorists to murder hundreds of Jewish men, women and children?

Of course, it is always Israel who does not want to make peace!!

When, and if, the Arabs face reality, and get both sides together to make peace, then, PG., there could be peace,
and the PA would be the main people to benefit from all that Israel can offer and help them with.

  • Dr Tony Vadynizk

This is a deceitful speech by the Malaysian Leader, they hide the history of the Jews and Biblical pointers under the mat to bring Isreal to public odium and world ridicule. Who and what is the Palestinian, what is there true history in the land of Judea and Samaria. Almighty YAHWEH will settle this issue once and for all sooner. Aba City, Nigeria

  • jeremy

Why wouldn’t he? Islam itself is a variety of genocidal Replacement Theology. Everything to Islam of the Jews was made to be stolen. And has been.

This is standard Islamic hijacking of culture.

He may want to quote that the Koran doesn’t mention the term “palestine” instead about worrying about the fact that the people he wants to wipe out invented the golden rule.

  • jeremy

Yes it is hateful to him and his OIC not to control the minds of 56 Member countries.

So shouldn’t it be fateful to the Jews not to have 56 giant countries too?

Those 56 countries have no rich indigenous Jews, and the 21 Arab countries have no indigenous Jews whatsoever, in almost all cases by law.

  • David Goshen

Prime Minister of Malazia Najib Razak should intervene to stop the war between the PA Fatah and Hamas which is creating terror to bring down that regime and stop the humanitarian cris created because Abu Mazem cannot carry out his appointment to rebuild Gaza because Hamas blocks his entry to Gaza. What is happening with anothe winter approaching is that no donor money is being sent, all building materials shiped into Gaza each week are being purchased by Hamas in the black market and used tobuild more tunnels.Bank E Moon the UN Secretary General while aware of the humanitarian crises has done nothing! The terror in Israel is being orchastrated by Hamas to bring down Abu Mazem. No peace negotiatons ca take place as long as the war between Fatah & Hamas continues!

  • Michael Fox

Yes of course…in the immortal words of Rodney King, “Why can’t we all just get along?”…. Because we are humans who suffer the human condition. The timeless war waged between good and evil. As my religious perspective is rooted in the narrative of Judaism, so the PM of Malaysia is rooted in Islam. We can laugh and break bread together. We can proudly show pictures of our grandchildren but at the end of the day, we go home to our comfort place. We can stand side by side as two trees in each others shadows but our roots are unique to the essence of who we are.

The task of humanity is to find a way that our roots can easily coexist in the same space. To embrace our differences while celebrating the universal commonality of mankind.

When we can do this, then and only then, will G-d smile down on humanity.

  • paul duncombe

Someone needs to inform him the address of the website which records the fact that his religion is responsible for 27,000 brutal murders since 9/11

  • Charles Martel

Nice try,Islam has treated Jews with disrespect.Islam denies that Judaism even exits in the area.As far as the Palestinians they had a state, however they thought their Arab friends would win the war in 1948 and drive the Jews out.Funny how things turned out!
    Palestinians got what they deserve—–Nothing.

The Golden Rule does not work when dealing with Islam.

  • Sara klompus

This guy has no right to invoke any part of the Torah
Or to defend Palestinians who are Christians, not Muslims, which goes to show you how little he knows
Perhaps Malaysian Muslims are nicer than the extremists, but he seems to be referring to all Muslims
And hey, who is he to talk after stonewalling his countrymen after the disappearance of MH370 and failed miserably to track that plane before it disappeared. He is not a man to trust or aspire to, he is no role model to Muslims, Jews or Christians!

  • Ruth

they love to give all those rock, Molotov cocktail and missile launching criminals a pass!

  • zadimel

Hille’s “soundbite” is well known, but it cannot be used to prevent the Jewish State from defending itself against those who seek its destruction. I think PM Razak should refer to the Koran at 17:104 which expresses the following: “And We said thereafter to the children of Israel, dwell securely in the land of promise (meaning Israel).” 26:59 holds that the promised land is to be considered as a permanent inheritance for the Israelites. Another section at 5:21 states,”Oh my people(the Jews) enter the Holy Land which G-D hath assigned unto you.”

  • Ezra

What is hateful to Jews is the premeditated murder of innocent men, women and children. The Jewish people have recently lost two gentle and God fearing parents of four young children who were made orphans. This was done in the name of Islam and Palestinians are reveling at this haneous act. The reve lets are not Islamic terrorists but every day Palestinians. The Malaysian president needs to stop quoting the Torah and look to Islam to understand it’s hateful message.

  • Abdul

What a liar he is! There is no such thing as the Golden Rule in Islam. In Koran 48:29, Allah very clearly says: “Muhammad is God’s Apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another.”

As for Islam being “a religion of peace, moderation and justice”, how is it, then, that the Moslem world, not just areas controlled by ISIS, is boiling over in violence, extremism and mass violation of human rights?

  • I don’t quite understand why so many anti-Israel articles is spread over even Jewish sources, and almost no anti-Palestinian ones. In November there will be a conference (or like this) in Boston under the title: “Palestinian Culture and Struggles” Of course it is nonsense, but nobody writes what their “culture” is. A certain Ms. Rotschild, who is one of the organizers smiles ear to ear, how important this forum. And it is not the unique forum, like this. The program (as many, e.g. Democracy Now, Truthout) includes the “speech” of the old Naum (Noam) Chomsky, who is long ago in marasmus and still makes “presentation” that Israel is a big prison for Palestinians, that Gaza is the biggest concentration (like Nazi’s) camp and so on. We should stop Mr. Chomsky. I’ll try to collect his “pearls” and to write. But anyway we should spread anti-Palestinians materials the same widly as they do.

  • It seems much easier to quote scripture than to live up to it. Such as mentioning the totally unprovoked attack on nascent Israel by the Palestinians and their Arab neighbours in 1948 and the resulting 6,000 Israelis killed and 30,000 wounded according to the British Encyclopaedia. One percent of the Jewish population. Or the estimated thousands of Israeli men, women and children murdered in subsequent terror attacks.
Or the tens of thousands of Israelis that fell victim in the wars launched against that tiny country, the size of New Jersey.

Today the Palestinians have the impertinence of calling it the Naqba, the catastrophe, only willing to view it from their own perspective.

  • danny kid

The àbsurdity of the propaganda is astounding.

  • Wm. J. Levy

Isn’t the same PM who years ago declared that “Jews rule the world.”

I wrote a letter to IBD which published it saying that if we did rule the world he wouldn’t be allowed to make those stupid comments and there would be no PLO, Iranian threat against Israel.

Oh, if only we really ruled the world.

  • It is refreshing to hear the truth spoken in the UN by the leader of a country that represents one leg of hope to rectify the abhorrent way the Palestinians are treated. May they bring others to the fore and create a movement that will shake the Middle East to its roots and demand immediate change.

  • if u want 2 ignore history its a great gobbels speech when the UN DECLARED A 2 STATE division who did not accept it Israel was invaded by 6 Arab states and it got worse every since. My opinion NO Palestinian Leader could sign a peace treaty with Israel and not b a strong candidate 2 b assasinated.

  • iche soudry

i wonder if he is preaching that to the Arab countries that have dehumanised jews until the complete ethnic cleansing was fullfilled and made 2 millions fewish refugees to escape to Israel

  • Stormin’Norm

….and his precious muslims????…they are certainly living up to their “highest ethical principles”….NONE!!!

  • Bryna Weiss

So, did Netanyahu, in his speech, respond specifically to that charge and call it a lie. Did he specifically refute that ugly claim and explain what really happened? The Palestinians are spreading this poison but I don’t hear any voice from Israel demanding a retraction and telling the members of the UN the truth!!

  • Leonard S. Feinman

There is a real difference between Arab Islam and the Asian Islam in Malaysia. While Arabs find they are not as respected they don’t care. They are the apex of humanity, and nobody should question that. Whatever there is, they want the first cut, and the world can have the leftovers. Such is Arab hubris

In Asia, Muslims feel more need to get long, but they are still better than non-Muslims. Islam unites them as brothers. They will support one another based on their shared religion. They are not influenced by regional issues like the Arabs, but the only reason Arabs are, is because there are Jews. Jews are the easiest targets. Christian sects come next, but the world is still focused on the Middle East, and Judaism. So, nobody is crying about the 200,000 or so Christians killed in Syria.

  • Tabitha Korol

It is time to invoke Islamic quotes that permeate their literature, each one more hateful than the next. The ignorant or willfully blind must hear the Torah’s pages of edicts to kill Jews and Christians. Islam has no Golden Rule; it has no no Judeo-Christian concepts that invoke like, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and it has never had a truly Golden Era where all lives equally and in peace. Islam’s lies and deceit must be told worldwide, that they revere hate and death over love and life; and, if possible, they should be granted what they revere.

Maybe the premier of Malaysia should consider the golden rule in his treatment of ethnic Chinese in his own counter.

Malaysia – the country which can’t fly a plane. They’re so tolerant that they kicked Singapore out of the country because there were too many Chinese there and they were out-competing the Malaysians.
