An Iranian official said that Tehran was preparing to commercialize its nuclear technology, state-run IRNA reported on Tuesday.

Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said that Iran was preparing for the “commercialization phase of the peaceful nuclear industry after the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).”

Dehqan said the JCPOA signaled the world’s recognition of Iran’s right to enrich uranium and to enter the commercial nuclear energy market, in spite of American and Israeli efforts to prevent it from doing so.

“The Israelis and Americans have done their best and mobilized all the trade satellites of the West to monitor Iran’s activities in different parts of the world and they held meetings on exchanging information and news,” he said.
