JNS.org – Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, said the EU is standing firm behind its recently implemented initiative to remove “Made in Israel” labels from Israeli products originating beyond the 1967 lines.

The EU is “united on these technical guidelines on the indication of origin, which is in no way a boycott,” Mogherini said during talks with EU foreign ministers on Monday.

Mogherini added that the EU will remain engaged in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and in “broader bilateral relations with Israel,” despite the Israeli government’s own decision to halt the EU’s peace process involvement.

“There is full unity and solidarity among member states and among European institutions on that,” said Mogherini.

Since boycott is discrimation that stupid mogherinini is saying boycott is…not boycott. On top of that she LIES saying the eu is united since many eu nations do NOT agree with her. Eventually she must be shizophrenic if she wants to interfere with Israel’s politics in spite of Israel’s barring her. Does she want also to speak only with herself? mogherinini mangia macaronini and …get lost!

If this is not a boycott what is? I will continue to buy all products that originate from Israel that have been manufactured in the so called occupied territories. This land dont belong to the Palestinians any way. The reasons for my support are two fold. 1. To stand firm with Israel and 2. To preserve the jobs of all who work in this territory to ensure that the producers and manufacturers dont move to other areas making the situation worse. Why does not the UN do the same with Turkey, it has illegally occupied half of Cyprus for 40 years even though the Greek Cypriots pose no threat which is not the same in Israel.

at this time that Turkey wishes to restore relations with Israel, on e must pause to think as to why now?
The answer lies in a recent Israel accord with Egypt and Greece to develop the gas that lies off the coasts in the Mediterranean . The odd man out is Turkey who hates Greece
almost as much as Israel. Hence the nice words .
What does the EU lack ? Energy! So don’t sell gas to the EU
or make it more expensive until they change policies.
Don’t despair , the Israe-li gas field is huge and can help the EU get off of its’ Russian gas fix. So-until the policy is changed no trade with the EU. All Israeli high- tech should be taxed at a higher rate if it goes to the EU . Talking about hypocrisy is a waste of time .

Chaim : I entirely agree with you. It is about time Israeli “leaders” stop being fools and let every one make a fool of them.
