Israel’s security forces have continued to operate against Palestinian terrorism in a manner that is necessary and appropriate, sources in the government and police told The Algemeiner on Tuesday.

These sources were responding to claims made on Twitter by a PA official that Israel has executed most of the Palestinians killed over the course of the past year with a new, deadlier type of ammunition.

Ambassador Maen Rashid Areikat, who has been the top PLO representative to the US since 2009, tweeted: “In 2015 alone, 179 Palestinians were killed by Israel, 85% were extra-judicially shot dead. Additionally, new type of lethal bullets detected.”

Israeli Defense Minister Lieberman Hints at Keeping Previous Vow to Assassinate Former Hamas PM Haniyeh

“Talk to me about [former Hamas Prime Minister Ismayil] Haniyeh at the end of my term,” Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor...

Reuters reporter Dan Williams responded by questioning Areikat further with a tweet of his own: “Please expand on your method for determining that 85% figure. Also, what is the new ammunition to which you refer?”

Israel Police foreign press spokesman Chief Inspector Micky Rosenfeld denied both accusations.

“Israel’s national police are on the front lines, facing Palestinian terrorism, including stabbings, shootings and car-rammings that we’ve experienced throughout 2015,” he told The Algemeiner. “In any attack where we can make arrests, we do. When our officers are in a life-threatening situation, they fire shots and then make arrests, but in certain cases, they have no choice but to open fire and kill the terrorists.”

Rosenfeld also asserted that the Israel Police “responds with the standard ammunition it has used for years. No new, supposedly more dangerous, bullets are being used whatsoever.”

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon went even further, not only refuting the bold assertions, but also going on the offensive.

“This isn’t first time we’re hearing such lies from the Palestinians and other groups,” he told The Algemeiner. “These are false claims. The IDF and other security forces act in order to protect the Israeli populace against the wave of murderous terrorism, whose source is in Palestinian incitement. In their ‘chutzpah,’ the Palestinians perpetually present the murderers as victims.”

I wish Israel would develop a weapon that would only kill Arab terrorists.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful. There would be no Arabs left.

The response should be no more than to pose the following question and state its answer:

Q: How do you know when a “Palestinian” is lying?

    A: His lips are moving.

Quite frankly when I read this article by Ruthie Blum ,I thought. how surreal of supposedly the top Ambassador Areikat for the PA. How can you make such a claim? It seems everything that the Palestinian Authorities say or is fabrication. How do they, as the representatives of the Palestinian community, expect ANYONE to take them seriously?

Special bullets used against terrorists that mean to harm or kill terrorists in Israel? I think an attempt on one’s life on innocent people demands a lethal response for that transgression. No one should live in fear of their lives and the Israeli response is an appropriate one. I would hate to see my tax dollars spent on incarcerating a terrorist after he or she has knifed,, shot or fire bombed law abiding citizens. I think Israelis should seriously consider arming themselves to protect themselves and their family.

We have to remember it is the PA that is inciting these people to attack Jews in their own homeland. Ambassador Maen Rashid Areikat is just another example of a person who fans anti-Semitic hatred for it’s own sake.
Every person commands the right to protect themselves against harm. Israelis should not have to depend upon the protection of the IDF or Israeli National Police, They cannot be everywhere. I think more concealed weapon permits issued to Jews in Israel would hopefully make a terrorist have second thoughts about whether they really want to continue that destructive course. Let’s oblige them and help them meet their goal of martyrdom.

    Hi Ruthie,

    Doing great work.
    So proud of you.
    All the best.
    Joy.

We should tell them that if their murderous terrorists stop coming to stab, maim or shoot innocent civilians, old women and children in the name of merciful Allah, that will save their lives.
We should tell them that if we discover more deadly bullets, we will definitely employ them to kill as many such terrorists as possible. We would like to HELP them die, as is their wish.
These murderers come to kill Jews in order to be Shahids – which means they intend to die. Besides getting 72 virgins in heaven – to be a shahid means you gain honor, and your family gets a pension from the PA. The PA openly, consistently encourages this and regards them as heroes. So what exactly are they complaining about ?

If ammo containing pig’s blood deterred attacks on Jews, would development, manufacture and distribution be kosher?

    • An imam would issue a fatwa saying anyone hit with pork bullet still eligible for heaven

  • Rubbish! As in the past, the standard bullet does the job quite nicely.

There are times when extraordinary methods were used.
I lived in Israel from 1954 to 58, worked all over the country drilling for oil. I know of an occasion when the Border Police found a stash of hand grenades in a cave in the Hartuv area and suspected that they had been placed there by terrorists for future use.

Those grenades were not removed. They were left in situ with the fuses changed to instantaneous.

Why bother to respond to the claim about a deadlier type of ammunition? I agree in responding to the claim about 85% of Palestinians being killed extra-judicially. You should also respond that 100 % of Israelis are killed extra-judicially.

  • This is another example of how the PLO terrorist entity deftly uses social media to spread Jew-hatred incitement among young Arabs. And Mr. Areikat won’t provide any further information about his rubbish.

  • You remind me of the child who after killing his parents, pleaded that he was an orphan.
The palestinians, stab, ram their cars into other autos, and claim that the Israelis are the terrorists.

  • stevenl

Pal are addicted to Goebbels. They may even fabricate “the bullets” they are talking about. Will be Made in Iran very likely (or even N-Korea).

  • danny kid

There was a time that when Palestinians lied everyone believed them and when they told the truth no one did. Times are changing.

A standard 9mm Luger bullet is issued !!!

But a 45 ACP is a better man stopper !!!

Why is it whenever Muslims make a speech they always want their audience to play Pull My Finger game?
Or are they all frustrated proctologists?
