The member of the Palestinian security services who committed Sunday morning’s terrorist attack, in which three IDF soldiers were seriously wounded, hinted that he was going to do something drastic in a post on Facebook, the Hebrew news site Walla reported.

Amjad Abu Omar, 34, wrote on Saturday: “Every day we hear on the news about death. Forgive me, but I may be next.”

On Sunday, according to Walla, he followed up with a similar post on his Facebook page. “It is worth living in this country, but unfortunately I don’t see anything that justifies life as long as the occupation darkens our souls and kills our brothers and sisters, may they rest in peace. God will heal our wounds and release us from our suffering. You are the first and we, with God’s help, will follow.”

Israeli Defense Minister Lieberman Hints at Keeping Previous Vow to Assassinate Former Hamas PM Haniyeh

“Talk to me about [former Hamas Prime Minister Ismayil] Haniyeh at the end of my term,” Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor...

Along with this post, Abu Omar added a photo of himself ostensibly on the way to the Focus checkpoint, where he later committed the shooting attack, with the comment: “Morning. We will win in the name of Allah…There is no god other than Allah and our prophet Mohammed is his slave and emissary.”

Abu Omar arrived at the checkpoint, near the West Bank settlement of Beit El and Ramallah, by car and opened fire with a handgun on the IDF soldiers who were checking his ID. He was killed by Israeli security forces on the scene.

Abu Omar, a resident of the town Jamma’in the West Bank — and a married father-of-four — was a member of the Palestinian Authority security forces, and worked as PA Attorney General Ahmad Hanoun’s driver, according to Ynet.

This is third time a member of the PA security service has committed a terrorist attack against Israelis. In December, Mazen Aribah of Abu Dis wounded two Israelis at the Hizma checkpoint outside of Jerusalem, before being killed by Israeli security forces.

According to Ynet, in a separate incident, Palestinian security officer opened fire at IDF soldiers, but was apprehended before managing to wound any of them.

May the soldiers have a complete healing. The important part is that it was killed.

  • Israel must end all cooperation with the PLO terrorist entity. Mr. Abu Omar’s evil acts against IDF soldiers is further proof the PLO terrorist entity must be replaced with Israeli governance.

I wish it would stop this constant aggression against Israel. It would be so nice that after all these years there could be peace.
