British comedic mega-star Sacha Baron Cohen toasted L’Chaim (“to life”) before swigging a shot of tequila on the red carpet of the 2016 Academy Awards on Sunday.
The Jewish actor of Borat fame — and his wife, actress Isla Fisher — shared the drink with Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, as part of a skit broadcast on late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
After throwing back the shot, Cohen said, “I wish I had breakfast.”
During the Academy Awards, Cohen took to the stage in character, as renowned alter-ego Ali G, to present the “Best Picture” nominee, Room.
Watch Cohen and his wife take shots on the red carpet in the video below.
