Robert Kraft

Owner of the New England Patriots

Business magnate Robert Kraft did not hesitate when he was approached in 2015 to help memorialize Ezra Schwartz, one of three people killed in a terrorist attack in Gush Etzion.

Kraft, a pro-Israel philanthropist who owns the New England Patriots, held a moment of silence in honor of Schwartz at the start of a televised Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. Schwartz, a Patriots fan, had been spending a year abroad at a yeshiva in Israel when a Palestinian deliberately attacked the car he was traveling in.

A frequent visitor to the Jewish state, Kraft also in 2015 arranged for 19 football Hall of Fame members to travel to Israel for an event dubbed “Touchdown in Israel: Mission of Excellence.” The event was held at Kraft Stadium, which he built in Jerusalem.
