Photo: Holocaust International Cartoon & Caricature Exhibition 2016. – Iran’s Cultural-Art Masaf Institute has announced that it is launching a “Zionist Caliphate” cartoon contest.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Iranian Islamic Propaganda Organization’s 2016 Holocaust cartoon contest, which was widely condemned by world leaders and agencies, including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Holocaust cartoon exhibition goes “against the universal values of tolerance and respect, and runs counter to the action led by UNESCO to promote Holocaust education, to fight antisemitism and denial,” UNESCO said.

According to the Cultural-Art Masaf Institute, the latest contest’s themes focuses on “Zionism, terrorism and racism” and “ISIL (Islamic State) terrorism and genocide in the name of religion and to the benefit of the Zionists,” Iran’s Fars News Agency reported. The contest has a category for caricatures depicting Theodor Herzl and the United Kingdom’s Queen Elizabeth II.

The submissions for the contest are sent to a group called “Cartoons Clan,” which describes itself as a “group of cartoonists and caricaturists from all over the world who have gathered together to fight against any kind of racism and terrorism.”

“In our point of view, Zionism is the worst kind of racism and is the enemy of the world’s big religions,” the Cartoons Clan said on its website.

The winning entry will be awarded a $5,000 prize.

I agree with A Zionist, this is totally unacceptable. When in Holland or was it Denmark a cartoonist depicted Mohamed there was a call for a Fatwa and an outrage in the Muslim community. Innocent cartoonist were massacred by Muslim murderers at Charlie Hebbdo’s offices in Paris. Why should we Jews, Zionists or others have to put up with this evil incitement to hatred. Sanctions should be re-imposed on Iran until they sue for peace and harmony for all peoples of the world.

Iran should be suspended from the UN, thrown out of UNESCO and any other UN organisation . . . .

Of course, that would happen only if the UN was a genuine United Nations, which it is not.

When European countries, including the UK, France and Germany could vote YES knowing the UN Resolutions were lies and defamations UNESCO; WHO) it is clear that antisemitism is so ingrained in the European psyche, that the Jewish State of Israel is even more important.

I cannot remember the reference, but there was an analysis of the voting patterns and while European appeasement was more important than integrity, a number of Muslim countries were “absent” and thus did not vote for the antisemitic resolutions thus showing Europe to be devoid of any morality.

Perhaps a cartoon competition showing the immorality, antisemitism and appeasement of the Europeans?
