Israel’s Tzipi Livni Summoned by London Police Over War Crimes Accusations

Israel’s former foreign minister and Zionist Union lawmaker Tzipi Livni was summoned for questioning by British authorities when she arrived in London over alleged war crimes claims, Israel’s Foreign Ministry confirmed on Sunday.
Livni, who arrived in London to attend a Haaretz conference, was summoned by Scotland Yard over her alleged involvement in committing war crimes and violations of the Geneva Convention during the IDF’s military offensive in 2008-9 Gaza, known as Operation Cast Lead, during which time she served as foreign minister.
