Lebanese athletes refused to share a bus with the Israel team to get to Friday’s Rio Olympic Games opening ceremony, members of both teams said.

Lebanon and Israel are officially at war and have no diplomatic relations.

    New IOC rule. If any national team or athlete refuses to be transported, lodged in same building with, fed in same dining room etc. the complaining party will therefore be serviced after the party they complain about. If this results in missing an event or a meal, too bad. Choices are allowed but you choose for yourself not the other guy. Any consequences should be totally yours.
