‘Game of Thrones’ Actress and Third-Generation Holocaust Survivor Hosts Lavish Fundraiser in Role as ‘Ambassador’ for Israel’s Sheba Medical Center
The actress who plays Quaithe in the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” hosted a lavish fundraiser Tuesday night in her role as “ambassador” for Israel’s Sheba Medical Center, and took the opportunity to spread a message of peace between the Jewish state and its neighbors, the UK’S Daily Mail reported ahead of the event.
Prior to the inaugural Sheba Floral Ball in London, German third-generation Holocaust survivor Laura Pradelska wrote on Instagram: “In crazy times like these, where people commit terrorist attacks, cause destruction and preach hate, I genuinely believe the only way to make a difference for our generation is to come together and realize we are all the same and equally vulnerable. We thrive if we are kind to each other.”
The event– held at One Marylebone to raise money for research at the Ramat Gan-based hospital, whose director-general, Yitshak Kreiss, was the guest of honor — included a live auction, champagne reception, dinner and a special performance by boy band Collabro, the 2014 winners of “Britain’s Got Talent.”
