Amir Eshel warned on Wednesday that the Jewish state will strike Hezbollah “with full force” in any future conflict with the Lebanese terror group.

In his address at the annual Herzliya Conference, Eshel said that in just a few days, Israel’s air force can now bring as much power as it did during the entire 2006 war against Hezbollah.

“What the air force was able to do quantitatively in the…Lebanon war over the course of 34 days we can do today in 48-60 hours,” he said. “This is potential power unimaginable in its scope, much different to what we have seen in the past and far greater than people estimate.”

While Eshel touted Israel’s firepower, Hezbollah’s leaders have routinely boasted about the terror group’s vast arsenal of 100,000-150,000 rockets, and their ability to strike deep into Israel in any future conflict.

Yet since the last war with Hezbollah, Israel has significantly bolstered its missile defense apparatus, deploying the Iron Dome, Arrow and David’s Sling systems to intercept any short-range or medium-range Hezbollah rockets.

Eshel said that if conflict breaks out in Israel’s north, the Jewish state must strike Hezbollah “with all our strength from the start.”
