Trump praises North Korea sanctions ‘after many years of failure’

President Trump on Tuesday praised the international coalition coming together to pressure North Korea over its intercontinental ballistic missile launches “after many years of failure.”

”After many years of failure, countries are coming together to finally address the dangers posed by North Korea. We must be tough & decisive!” he wrote on Twitter.

The president, who’s on a working vacation at his golf resort in Bedminster, NJ, also retweeted a report on “Fox and Friends” that the rogue regime has been moving missiles.

”U.S. spy satellites detect North Korea moving anti-ship cruise missiles to patrol boat,” the “Fox and Friends” tweet said.

The report said President Kim Jong Un’s government appears to be trying to conceal its missile system and ignoring new sanctions approved by the UN Security Council over its weapons programs.

The severe economic penalties against North Korea come after the regime launched two ICBMs in July with enough range to strike the US mainland.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said the US might be willing to negotiate with Pyongyang if the regime stops test-firing missiles.

Trump also tweeted about the opioid crisis, announcing a briefing later Tuesday at Bedminster and retweeting a “Fox and Friends” report on overdose deaths.

”I will be holding a major briefing on the Opioid crisis, a major problem for our country, today at 3:00 P.M. in Bedminster, N.J.,” Trump wrote.

“OPIOID CRISIS: Worse than we thought, with a new study showing overdose deaths were under reported,” the tweet said.
