Diplomats at the UN Human Rights Council headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland were visibly stunned this week when a Palestinian human rights advocate slammed the Palestinian Authority for its human rights abuses.

“Where does your legitimacy come from? The Palestinian people did not elect you, and they did not appoint you to represent them,” said Mosab Hassan Yousef — a former undercover Shin Bet agent who is the son of a Hamas terrorist leader and now lives in the US.

Yousef was speaking at UN Human Rights Council debate devoted to exclusively Palestinian rights — during which serial human rights abusers like Venezuela, Iran and North Korea rounded on Israel for its alleged “violations.”

The expressions on the PLO representatives’ faces are priceless. And the statement by North Korea about human rights violations is the icing on the cake, the ultimate comic relief.
