New Machines Make Cotton Picking Easier for Farmers at Northern Israeli Kibbutzim

Cotton-picking season is wrapping up in northern Israel, and the arduous job was made much easier this year for farmers at two kibbutzim — Mishmar HaEmek and HaZore’a — thanks to the arrival of new machines that did most of the labor-intensive work for them.

Watch the machines — developed by John Deere, in conjunction with Tama — in action below (via Israel’s Channel 2):
