At White House Hanukkah Celebration, Trump Lauds ‘Love That’s All Over Israel’ After Jerusalem Recognition

US President Donald Trump hosts a Hanukkah party at the White House in Washington, DC, Dec. 7, 2017.
US President Donald Trump and his family celebrated Hanukkah at the White House on Thursday.
The president was joined by Holocaust survivor Louise Lawrence-Israëls.
Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband, White House senior adviser Jared Kushner and their youngest son Theodore, who are Jewish, attended the event.
A day earlier, Trump announced that his administration would begin a process of moving the US Embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
At Thursday’s Hanukkah event, Trump said, “Right now I’m thinking about what’s going on and the love that’s all over Israel and all about Jerusalem.”
Hanukkah, which is the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, begins next Tuesday.
