Anchors from two major news stations recently tried matzah for the first time ever in honor of Passover, which began on Friday night.

NBC New York reporter Jummy Olabanji took a bite of unleavened bread in the station’s newsroom and then described the matzah as “bland…[but] it’s not bad.” She added, “It could be good with butter on it.”

News anchor Araksya Karapetyan, from FOX 11 Los Angeles, also tried matzah for the first time, but during an aired TV segment. After a taste, Karapetyan said it reminded her of an Armenian bread called lavash.

Karapetyan later posted a video on Twitter of her trying matzah along with the caption, “Food brings people together that’s for sure!”
