The Israeli Navy concluded this week a successful series of tests of a new long-range torpedo system set to enter operational use.

The torpedoes will be deployed on the Navy’s fleet of submarines.

According to the IDF, the torpedoes are more accurate and can strike targets from greater distances than its predecessors, representing “a very significant step in the strengthening of the Navy and the preservation of the IDF’s superiority in the naval arena.”
