JNS.org – The Qatari envoy to the Gaza Strip, Mohammad al-Amadi, told Hamas officials his country would discontinue its almost $10 million in funding towards the territory’s electricity amid a lack of improvement with infrastructure projects, reported Israeli media out Kan.

The current funds to the Gaza Strip are set to expire in April. Qatar has funneled some $1.1 billion in aid money to Gaza since 2012.

Qatar expressed irritation regarding “foot-dragging” by the US-designated terrorist group over numerous projects, “including a power line from Israel that could increase power supplies to the coastal enclave,” according to i24 News.

This move comes almost a month after Hamas rejected a $15 million transfer from the Gulf state, which Israel approved after initially blocking it.
