The Houston Texans’ starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson, visited Israel this week, saying that it “is a wonderful country.”

Accompanied by the group America’s Voices In Israel, which organizes week-long trips to the Jewish state for celebrities, the star player and his trainer, Quincy Avery, visited Shiloh.

He and Avery are also scheduled to visit the Dead Sea and the Machane Yehuda open-air market in Jerusalem.

“I have been blessed to visit many countries around the world, but the chance to visit the Holy Land, see the sights and meet the people of this special place, truly is a special blessing and an amazing opportunity,” said Watson.

Watson is not the only NFL player to visit the Jewish state.

Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Michael Pierce has traveled to Israel with Christians United for Israel.

The New England Patriots are also in Israel this week.
