Warren Goldstein
Chief Rabbi of South Africa
The chief rabbi of South Africa is a vocal defender of Israel and has published countless articles in the local and international media in defense of the Jewish state. As South Africa’s ruling party has made efforts to isolate Israel and accuse it of apartheid, Goldstein has spoken out in opposition to his government. In a recent interview, Goldstein, who has unique insight into the true travesties of an apartheid political system, said bluntly, “I know apartheid firsthand, I know Israel firsthand, and they couldn’t be further apart in the analogy.”
