Gulf Arab states will consider placing the Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah on their terror list due to its role in assisting Bashar-al Assad in Syria, Al-Rai daily reported Thursday.

Quoting high placed diplomats, the report says Bahrain will ask foreign ministers of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss the move at a meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The daily did not specify whether the Council would discuss listing the entire organization or just its militia, whose men are fighting alongside Syrian regime forces.

Bahrain has already taken action action the organization. On Monday it banned opposition groups from all contact with Hezbollah, a month after branding the movement as a “terrorist organization.”
