Noted lawyer and Israel advocate Alan Dershowitz spoke at the Park Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan’s Upper East Side Monday. The Harvard professor warned said the Campus World “is turned on its head,” and that Jews must be vigilant against the exploitation of “modern day blood libels – we must combat the blood libel.”
“We must,” said Dershowitz “press the truth at every point. The professor said he retained hope. “What gives me hope?” he questioned rhetorically, “The fact that young people are ready to stand up to hatred. I am an optimist by nature.” Concluding that professors “need to speak up,” and “more students to fight back,” he stressed the need to “push for full and complete free speech on campus.”
