When a host on Britain’s Sky News television channel asked Israel’s Economy Minister Naftali Bennett on Sunday if Israel’s actions in Gaza were not “disproportionate,” Bennett shot back: “Are you kidding me?”
In the combative interview, the host, Dermot Murnaghan, said that if the United Kingdom was faced with a similar situation, it “wouldn’t indiscriminately kill women and children,” implying that Israel had.
“Sometimes, yes, in wars there is collateral damage, but I’m not going to ask forgiveness for defending my four children that had rockets shot at their home this very morning,” Bennett said.
