Leah Soibel
Media activist
A Hispanic American and Israeli, Leah Soibel has a decade of experience on the ground in Israel and elsewhere working with global Spanish media – a market that continues to grow year on year, and a vital battleground for Israel’s defenders. For years, she has been bringing millions of Spanish speakers an accurate image of Israel through international media events, expert interviews and briefings assembled by her Fuente Latina organization. In 2014, Soibel’s achievements included the hosting of media events for hundreds of journalists covering the visit of Francis I, the first Latin American Pope, to Israel. Born in St. Louis, Soibel grew up in a family of Argentine Jews. Although she made aliyah to Israel eleven years ago, Soibel says she’s made a sacred commitment to never forget her roots.
