i24 News – Israeli and Palestinian assessments claim that Mohammed Deif, the commander of the Hamas military wing whom Israel tried to assassinate during last summer’s war in Gaza, is alive and actively involved in Hamas’ military decisions.
Hamas leader and former Prime Minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh said Wednesday that the Israeli occupation has admitted his failure to kill Deif, a reflection of its military echelon’s failure. He added that the Israeli assessments Deif are “evidence of the war crimes the Israeli occupation commits in Gaza, which include hurting civilians and UN facilities.”
