Palestinian Authority TV Host Imad Hamato

Incitement to antisemitism went uncensored on Palestinian state television as the host of a weekly religious program accused Jews of controlling the media, global finances and resources, a Palestinian media watchdog reported on Wednesday.

“Those who control the money in the world can be counted on one hand – a few individuals – and all of them belong to the Jewish world,” Professor of Qur’anic studies at the University of Palestine in Gaza Imad Hamato told Palestinian Authority TV audiences.

“They control the media, the money, the press, the resources, the plans,” he said.

Hamato — who Palestinian Media Watch said is the host a weekly program on Islam — accused Jews of the crime of “usury,” and said Jews were the puppetmasters of “usurer money and usurer banks.”

He said Israel, which he called a “cancerous growth,” is trying to Judaize Arab culture into accepting its existence, and dismissed the notion of “coexistence and offering our hands in peace.”

In the past, Hamato used his television platform to inform audiences that humanity will never “live in comfort… peace or fortune or tranquility” as long as “the Jews are causing devastating corruption throughout the land.”

In 2006, the cleric said Allah grants martyrs 72 “dark-eyed maidens” and praises them “from the first gush of blood.”

A video of the cleric’s comments was uploaded and translated to the website of Palestinian Media Watch, which regularly reports on incidences of Palestinian incitement against Jews and Israel appearing on Palestinian state TV.
