A 38-year old woman from the Golan Heights who was bitten by a venomous snake last weekend died from her wounds at the Ziv Hospital in Safed on Wednesday, Israeli Channel 2 reported.
Paramedics said the woman arrived at the hospital in critical condition. She was semi-conscious and suffering from shock.
The Israeli medical team attempted to administer anti-venom, but the woman suffered a stroke before it could take effect, leading to a deterioration of her situation.
On Wednesday morning, after a number of attempts to save her life, doctors pronounced her dead.
