A 31-year-old man was caught pulling the hair of a 16-year-old girl in a small Bavarian town celebrating Oktoberfest this week, because she had a foreign name that sounded Jewish, Main Post reported last week.
The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. when five or six revelers at the Oktoberfest celebration at the youth center in Adelsberg began exchanging names.
After one girl shared hers, a man standing nearby apparently grew “aggressive” and asked her where her “foreign-sounding name” was from. He then began pulling her hair and screaming, “You Jew!”
Bystanders managed to restrain the aggressor, allowing the girl to get away. The teenager then filed a complaint with police against the man for assault and verbal abuse.
