The Israel Police released security camera footage of the terrorist attack in Jerusalem’s Geula neighborhood on Tuesday morning, in which 59-year-old Rabbi Yehoshua Krishovsky was murdered.
Krishovsky — whose funeral Tuesday evening was attended by thousands of mourners –was among three Israelis killed in cold blood that morning, in four separate attacks in Israel, two in Jerusalem and two in Ra’anana.
The video shows the terrorist ramming his car into a bus stop, then exited the vehicle with a meat cleaver and proceeded to hack those whom he had hit.
What is seen in the clip is a security guard shooting the terrorist, who was identified as Alaa Abu Jamal, a resident of east Jerusalem who was employed by Israel’s main phone company, Bezeq. In fact, he used the company car to commit the carnage.
Bezeq immediately expressed its shock at the incident, saying that there had been no warning signs about Abu Jamal.
The Geula attack is part of the terror surge that has been escalating in Israel since the Rosh Hashanah holiday last month.
