Two Israelis were shot dead and another was wounded in an attack near the Israeli settlement of Otniel in the Hebron region of the West Bank, Israeli media reported on Friday.
Both victims were men. One was in his 40s and the other was 18-years-old, according to reports. Additionally, a 16-year-old teenage boy was wounded and rushed to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva.
The two men who were killed were likely father and son, Army Radio reported.
According to a preliminary investigation, shots were fired from a vehicle bearing a Palestinian license plate at two moving Israeli vehicles. Once the Israeli vehicles ground to a halt, the attackers continued to riddle the car with bullets, firing at the Israeli passengers, according to Channel 2 news.
Four children in one of the vehicle’s escaped unscathed but were taken to Soroka Medical Center for emotional trauma.
The attack was the latest in nearly two months of almost daily terrorist attacks against Israelis, mostly in the Jerusalem area and the West Bank.
