Shortly after a stabbing attack claimed the lives of two Israelis in Tel Aviv on Thursday afternoon, three people were killed and another 5-7 wounded, two critically, in a multiple drive-by shooting attack in Gush Etzion, according to Israeli news outlets.
The attack was committed by a Palestinian terrorist, armed with an Uzi, shooting at cars in a traffic jam.
51-year-old Ya’acov Don from Alon Shvut; an 18-year-old American in Israel studying at a yeshiva; and a 40-year-old Palestinian (not one of the terrorists) were killed, according to Israel’s Channel 2.
After shooting at five cars, the terrorist then continued on and crashed head-on with another vehicle. Exiting the car to continue shooting, he was neutralized, but not killed, by an Israeli civilian with a gun.
Less than two hours earlier, two Israelis were killed and one moderately wounded when a Palestinian terrorist went on a stabbing spree during their midday prayers at the Panorama high-rise office building and shopping center in south Tel Aviv. Three wounded people were treated on the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics. One died on the scene, the other two were evacuated to the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, more commonly known as Ichilov hospital, where one died and the other is being treated for wounds to his torso.
The terrorist revealed to interrogators that he is from the Palestinian city of Dura, hear Hebron. A 36-year-old father-of-five, employed at a restaurant in Jaffa, he does not fit the profile of the majority of terrorists in the current wave of violence that has gripped Israel since September.
