The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is searching for a man caught on surveillance camera spray-painting antisemitic graffiti on a building in downtown Manhattan, CBS New York reported.
Authorities said the suspect penned a swastika, a Jewish star and what appears to be a pair of eyes underneath a halo, along with the words: “It’s a viscious [sic] cycle.” The images were scrawled on the door of The Leonard, an apartment building in Tribeca, at around 3:25 a.m. on April 23. Surveillance video shows the suspect spray-painting the graffiti before fleeing the scene and heading towards Broadway.
The NYPD described the suspect as having short black hair and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with dark shorts, sneakers and a black cross over his backpack. Anyone with information on the perpetrator is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS or visit the Crime Stoppers website.
