At least five students have been kicked out of their Colorado high school following last month’s suicide of a leader of a neo-Nazi Facebook group chat, the Boulder Daily Camera reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, more than a dozen students at different schools in Colorado took part in the “4th Reich’s Official Group Chat.”

On Sept. 21, the report said, a Boulder Preparatory charter school student — who was not identified by police — committed suicide to “show his allegiance to the Nazi party and the killing of Jewish people.”

The report said the chat group leader called himself “The Fuhrer” and members discussed “killing all Jews and “n******” and made references to “the final solution” and “white power.”

A Boulder police report said one group member wrote, “You can hang Jews on trees, shoot them right in the knees. Gas as many as you please.”

No charges were brought against any of the group members because there was “no evidence or documentation to support there being any credible threat,” the police report said.

The police report said that five Boulder Prep students had been expelled. According to the Boulder Daily Camera, it was unknown whether students at other schools faced similar disciplinary actions.

Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Regional Director Scott Levin said his organization had been alerted about the group’s existence.

“From our perspective, we believe law enforcement and the school district are both taking appropriate action,” Levin was quoted as saying.

Nevertheless, he continued, “it’s very disheartening when you hear this type of thing is taking place.”
