American, French and Israeli Navies Conduct Joint Underwater Warfare Drill off Haifa Coast

The American, French and Israeli navies conducted in recent weeks a joint underwater warfare drill in the Mediterranean Sea near Haifa.
The “Noble Melinda” exercise is an annual event for the US and Israeli navies, but this year marked the first time France participated.
The exercise, according to an Israeli naval officer, was focused on “the search for, detection of, and neutralization of underwater mines,” as well as “combating terrorist activity.”
“We are joining our forces to strengthen our cooperation,” the officer went on to say.
