Saudi Journalist in Hebrew Message to Israelis: Don’t Fear Our Nuclear Ambitions

In a video published on social media earlier this week, a Saudi journalist and historian — speaking in Hebrew — tried to reassure Israelis that there was nothing to fear from his country’s nuclear ambitions.
Loay al-Shareef — said to be close to the Saudi royal family — stated, “Has Saudi Arabia ever threatened its neighbors? The answer is no.”
“Read the news well, people of Israel,” al-Shareef concluded. “Thanks, and see you next time.”
Al-Shareef was referring to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent comment that the desert kingdom would develop nuclear weapons if its arch-rival Iran did so.
