JNS.org – Israel and the terrorist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, have reportedly agreed to a six-month ceasefire in the aftermath of the latter launching hundreds of rockets earlier this month into the Jewish state that caused four civilian deaths.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported on Monday that Hamas agreed, among numerous things, to curb violence at the border and keep to a 984-foot security buffer zone.

In exchange, Israel will continue to permit an expanded fishing area of Gaza’s coast, and continue border crossings for humanitarian and medical supplies, in addition to other undisclosed restrictions.

A ceasefire was reached earlier this month after Hamas launched almost 700 rockets from Gaza towards Israel. The terms were not disclosed.
