About 40,000 ultra-Orthodox Jewish men attended a rally Sunday focused on the dangers of the Internet. The rally, held at the New York Met’s Citi Field in New York City, addressed the religiously responsible use of modern technology.

Although women did not attend the event, many watched it broadcast live from schools and event halls, reported NBC. Eytan Kobre, a lawyer who is the spokesman for the event’s organizers, said the Internet “does pose a challenge to us in various aspects of our lives,” citing gambling, pornography and social media as things that undermine religious observance and prevent followers from praying without interruption and focusing.

“There’s a spectrum of usage and there’s a spectrum of how people are dealing with it,” he said.
