Guns N’ Roses did not disappoint during their concert in Tel Aviv this week, with lead guitarist Ron Thal – also known as Ronald Blumenthal – performing the melody to Israel’s national anthem (Hatikva) while on stage.
Thal lead the crowd to sing along with his instrumental during the rock and roll band’s visit to Israel for Summer Rock 2012. Frontman Axl Rose had told Israel’s Channel 2 news that he was “glad to be here [Israel]”, following his last visit with the group in 1993.
