In my last Algemeiner post, I highlighted the plight of a two-year-old boy who suffered a brain hemorrhage. We were searching for a specialist to save his life, but tragically were not successful in time to make a difference. The boy left this Earth, and now his heartbroken parents and family must find the courage and strength to cope with, and move forward after their sudden and unexpected loss. There are no words to express our heartfelt sense of failure in that we could not do more for this boy, for his parents, and family? As I said to a friend who works at WPIX, “We’re not G-d, the best we can do is try.” The producer’s, response was “I wish I could have done more.”
I think that’s how we all feel, “I wish I could do more to make a difference.” So, I want to share with you the details of our life to save this week. He is a doctor from Roslyn, NY, who spent his career as a primary care physician – his name is Ron Richman. His energy was always focused on saving lives, and he has saved many patients.
Now Dr. Ron Richman is searching for a kind soul to save his life. He is in end stage renal failure and needs an angel living kidney donor to save his life.
Sadly, in my opinion, the system in place for living kidney donors is horrendous. Why isn’t there a unified system (national or international) for altruistic kidney donors – like the bone marrow registry? With such a mechanism in place countless more lives would be saved, it is a travesty that the government hasn’t jumped on this opportunity years ago? Not to say there aren’t wonderful organizations out there, such as nationalkidneyregistry.com, and matchingdonors.com, but a unified altruistic living kidney donor registry would take things to a new level.
Regardless of the current state of affairs, this doctor needs someone to save his life, immediately! Would you consider donating a kidney? Do you have type O blood? are you in good health, and do you want to save a doctor who has saved many others? If so, please go to www.Save1person.org, click on the contact us button, and let us know your blood type, contact information and how we can best get in touch with you.
When you save a life, you are saving an entire world.
