It turns out Adam Sandler’s famous “Chanukah Song” isn’t entirely accurate, according to a TMZ report about former Major League Baseball player and coach Rod Carew.
The 1995 classic, sung by Sandler includes the lyrics: “O.J. Simpson … NOT A JEW!!! … but guess who is … Hall of famer Rod Carew … (he converted).”
However, Carew, who was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991, told TMZ that he never converted to Judaism, and actually told Sandler that after the song was released. The two celebrities have reportedly become friendly since conferring over the mixup.
