JPost – Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s spokesman Mark Regev responded to Erekat by saying it would be a “mistake” and “a blow to the peace process” for the PA to take the statehood issue to the UN General Assembly,
“We hope this does not happen,” he said. “The Palestinians committed themselves to resolving all outstanding issues in negotiations, and such a unilateral action would be viewed as a violation.”
