Did you know Benjamin Netanyahu worked as a consultant in Boston or that Tzipi Livni loves sweets?
How about the fact that Naftali Bennett likes to drink his tea like the British, with a little cream and sugar?
Ariel Atias, a politician in the Shas party, buys his suits at a Jerusalem bus station for 500 shekels. Bet you didn’t know that.
How about this: Labor leader Shelly Yachimovich’s first job was picking strawberries. She was only in the sixth grade.
All of these facts and more were revealed in an article by Israel’s Channel 2. The list, which featured 61 items, offers up several interesting tidbits about candidates in the upcoming Israeli elections.
Yair Lapid, for example, a former talk show host who now heads the Yesh Atid party, is colorblind, which is one of the reasons he has such an affinity for wearing black clothing. That’s definitely not how his first girlfriend dresses, however, as she became a clown.
Other details to take into consideration: Tzipi Livni’s ability to read body language, Avigdor Lieberman’s aversion to hummus and Naftali Bennett’s softer-side, which can be glimpsed in his fondness for Celine Dion.
