Cantor Attends Boteach Launch of National Institute of Jewish Values

Englewood, NJ—Rabbi Shmuley Boteach announced the formation of the National Institute of Jewish Values. The inaugural event was held on Sunday, May 8th at the home of Lisa and Jimmy Cohen in Alpine, New Jersey. Supporters came to hear Boteach and a host of members of the National Institute of Jewish Values speak about the launch of the organization and the future plans. Special guest of honor, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, discussed the impact that Jewish values have had on his life and his political career. Majority Leader Cantor emphasized Americas need to reinvigorate American values and to have a renaissance of American life.
In attendance were This World Governor and philanthropist David Slager and his wife Lara, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Chairman of the Merkos Linyonei Chinuch, Rabbi Mintz, Director of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute and Rabbi Genack of the OU.
Boteach said, “The Institute will be a training ground for Jewish scholars to become true exponents of Jewish values. The idea of the Institute is to create the Jewish equivalent of a Rhodes Scholarship of Oxford University. The Institute will seek out the most gifted minds and most talented within our community and train them to become writers, broadcasters and technology wizards to spread Jewish values to mainstream culture.”
