Having made Aliya from the Soviet Union twenty years ago, he served as spokesman for the Absorption Ministry and Natan Sharansky's Yisrael B'Aliya Party, and as Editor-in-Chief for the Israeli newscast of the RTVI global satellite television channel in Russian. He resides in Jerusalem with his wife and two sabra daughters.
