Dmitriy Shapiro, 25, is a political columnist and analyst based in Columbia, South Carolina. He studied Political Science at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he wrote opinions for The Massachusetts Daily Collegian; New England's largest college daily. Since arriving in Columbia, he has actively monitored political developments both local and national, with a record of successful predictions, and has deep ties to the political community. He currently runs his own blog (http://snowpolitics.wordpress.com) along with posting on the conservative political blog www.redstate.com (www.redstate.com/dmitriyshapiro/). Aside from politics, he enjoys Opera, Classical Music, and history; and is an amateur violinist in his spare time.
