5. Emory University

Atlanta, Georgia

For over 40 years, Emory University has been known for its interdisciplinary Jewish Studies program, which offers courses in 20th century German Jewish philosophy, Yiddish culture, and even Israeli national cinema. Along with that, the Atlanta area university offers a kosher meal plan and has a generally tolerant atmosphere toward Zionist students, despite the presence of an SJP branch on campus. Hillel and Chabad also host Shabbat and holiday dinners for students. (Photo credit: Wikipedia.)
