Jewish Population on Campus
Jewish students comprise nearly 10 percent of undergraduates at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The school has both a Jewish fraternity and sorority, as well as a Hillel that offers a variety of programming. The campus Chabad runs weekly Shabbat services and dinners, along with Hebrew and religious study classes. A 2016 study found that MIT — whose famous alumnus include Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu — collaborated with more Israeli academics than any other US university in the previous decade. While the campus hosts a "Palestine@MIT" group, anti-Zionist activity is not prevalent. (Photo credit: Wikipedia.)
